DUBUQUE, Iowa— During Dupaco Community Credit Union’s 76th Annual Membership meeting held Sunday, February 23, 2025, Ron Meyers, Antonio Mouzon and Renee Poppe were elected to serve three-year terms on the credit union’s board of directors.
Meyers has served on the Dupaco board since 2016. He is the retired principal of Wahlert High School and currently serves as a certified nursing technician at MercyOne Emergency Department in Dubuque. Poppe has been with the Dupaco board since 2010 and is senior vice president, sales service center for Medline Industries in Dubuque. Mouzon will be serving his first term on Dupaco’s board of directors and is the director for the Office of Community Impact for the City of Dubuque.
During the membership meeting, Dupaco’s board of directors honored director Steve Chapman, who after 37 years of dedicated service to the financial cooperative, retired from Dupaco’s board. Chapman was given the title of Honorary Board Member, the highest honor bestowed upon a director by the credit union.
Following the membership meeting, the board of directors held its re-organizational meeting, at which these officer appointments were made:
- Ellen Goodmann Miller, chair of the board
- Randy Skemp, vice chair
- Andy Schroeder, secretary
- Renee Poppe, treasurer
- Joe Hearn, president/CEO
These directors were appointed to committee chair positions:
- Denise Dolan, chair, Personnel committee
- Randy Skemp, chair, Business Lending committee and Nomination committee
- Andy Schroeder, chair, CUSO Board of Managers and Salary Savings Plan Oversight committee
- Jeff Gonner, chair, Audit committee
- Bob Wethal, chair, Investment/Asset Liability Management committee
- Renee Poppe, chair, Credit/Delinquent Loan committee
- Ron Meyers, chair, Marketing committee
As a member-owned, democratically-controlled cooperative, all Dupaco members have an equal say in their credit union. Each member has one vote, no matter how much money she or he has they have in deposits or loans at Dupaco.
