Posted:July 29, 2010
Details: In response to the recent flooding in the Midwest, Dupaco has implemented several special member assistance programs, including fixed rate emergency flood loans, loan payment deferral, fee reimbursement, and no-cost reorders on checks and debit cards.

Programs available to qualified members impacted by flooding include:
  • Emergency flood loans with a special 4.00% APR, 6-month fixed-rate term. A maximum of $2,500 is available with approval subject to credit qualification and enhanced flood underwriting guidelines.
  • Tack-on mortgage financing with a special 5% APR 60-month fixed rate and no closing costs. A maximum of $15,000 is available with approval subject to credit qualification and enhanced flood underwriting guidelines.
  • Consumer loan monthly payment deferral for those impacted by flooding either through property damage and/or a change in job status as a result of flood conditions. An initial one-month extension on the member's current Dupaco consumer, VISA, or home equity loan. Approval is subject to credit qualification.
In addition, qualified members impacted by flooding either through property damage and/or a change in job status as a result of flood conditions can request Overdraft Privilege fee reimbursement and reorders of debit card and 50-pack checks at no-cost.

To be eligible for any of the above programs, accounts must in good standing, with loan accounts having a proven on-time payment history to qualify. For more information members may contact Dupaco at (563) 557-7600/800-373-7600, ext. 202 for loan requests, or ext. 206 for fee reimbursement, check and debit card reorders.

According to Dupaco President and CEO Robert W. Hoefer, credit union staff are available to work with members on a personal basis for budget assistance, loan repayment alternatives, rebuilding assistance, and much more.

“During these trying times, Dupaco is here to lend a helping hand,” said Hoefer. “If financial difficulties arise, we encourage members to contact our financial counselors as soon as possible.”
